Jennifer Reed MA,RDN,
CDCES, Missionary nutrition
For over 20 years, I have been working in the fields of community and public health, and clinical nutrition. My mission is to redefine “normal eating” in America by challenging the way we view health and weight. As women, it is especially important to understand that we are much more than a number on a scale or a clothing size. We must all realize that health comes in all shapes and is not limited to the narrow view presented in main-stream media.
I believe that we need a spiritual health check-up before a physical health checkup, allowing us to get to the root of our eating habits. I challenge the stigma and shame put on people with diabetes and those who are over-weight or obese. I believe in treating the whole person by providing education and motivation with research-based, practical applications, seasoned with humor and compassion.
Jennifer gave such insughtful and heartfelt information to our group related to health and nutrition, food choices and self-care. SHe was able to meet the entire group on so many levels, culturally, socially, and relationally. SHe is a great source for all things women. I recommend her presentation/information for all walks of life of those looking to learn and do better.
